The IACA has been established since 1990 and is currently a daughter branch of the IAMA.The CEO in Australia is Dr Arthur J Rothwell he is also CEO, of The IAMA (Pacific Rim) an Advanced Fellow and lecturer of IAMA. Is on the Academic board of IAMA (USA) and corresponds regularly with Dr John A Amaro in Arizona who developed the EMI programme. He is President of the Acupuncture Association of Victoria (A A V)
Dr Rothwell was on the NASC for investigation and recommendation of TCM / acupuncture standards in Australia Arthur is a past member of the Academic Board of The Acupuncture College of Melbourne (ACM)
He is past consultant to The Motor Accident Board, Victorian Chiropractic Board and Past Specialist Representative of Riker Laboratories (USA) which dealt with ethical medicines concerned with the Respiratory and Central Nervous Systems
He has conducted many EMI (Ryodoraku) / Laser seminars in Australia and the US.
He has been involved in Low level Laser research and pain control management since 1988 having received instruction from eminent researchers such as Dr John A Amaro, Dr Abergel, Dr A Mester, Mr.Chris Castel, Dr R Wilner, Dr Richard Cheng who are considered to be world authorities in the use of Low Level or Cold Laser and pain management.
Arthur has traveled to China several times where he was affiliated with hospitals in Beijing
Dr.John Amaro was the Founder of The International Academy of Clinical Acupuncture later becoming The International Academy of Medical Acupuncture from which more than 20,000 physicians and assistants have graduated from or taken specific postgraduate work in Euro/Asian acupuncture.
Dr Rothwell is a well-known authority on Japanese Ryodoraku Diagnosis in Australia and Internationally.
He has researched and developed solid State Lasers in the visible and non-visible spectrum for acupuncture and specialised electronic stimulating devices. Private
